Physical Appearance
The first thing very noticable about Patrick is.. well.. he's short. Very short infact, only being five foot four. It's nothing he gets upset over or anything, go ahead, call him short. He really doesn't care. Pretty much is "trade mark" appearance is that of engineer styled hats, thick black framed glasses, bright green eyes, reddish-brown colored hair and sideburns. His skin is on the pale side, with the exception of when he blushes [which happens quite a lot]. He has no tattoos, no piercings, but what he does have, is a bit of a sweating problem. Gross right? It's not really something that he can help- considering that he gets nervous, getting nervous makes him sweat, he gets nervous about sweating, and the torturous cycle begins.
Even though he sweats quite a bit [and even he thinks its disgusting], he's generally wearing two or three layers of clothing, possibly more. His general "style" of clothing has a rather wide range, none the less it's a wonder why he's allowed to dress himself. Truth be told, Patrick isn't one who has a sense for fashion. It's typically pretty rare to find him wearing something that actually goes together and usually if that happens, he's wearing some funky bright colored shoes to ruin the whole thing.

Personality
Patrick is generally the one people call a "sweet kid". He's nice to anyone. He's always polite, but unfortunately is extremely shy when it comes to talking to people.. especially girls. He gets nervous, fidgety, and tends to blush a lot. This probably comes from never having many friends and never really having a girlfriend. When he was younger he was always harassed by his foster father, getting lectures and often yelled at for being "The Shy Boy". He's never had enough guts to make any comment back to him about that and sometimes he finds it hard to reply when others are just having a normal conversation.
In most circumstances, Patrick prefers to keep himself calm rather than getting worked up over something. He tries to think things out logically before skipping to conclusions- or more commonly assuming things, he doesnt like to be wrong. The thing that annoys him most is when he can't figure out a problem, for whatever reason, it makes it harder for him to sleep. Being on sleeping pills has made him a bit.. awkward at times and he only takes them when he really needs them. Doing so has taken a bit of a toll on his health- making it fairly easier for him to get ill or drowsy without warning. Another thing Patrick hates, is being called Pat. He isn't really sure why, but it just bothers him more than anything. He's had plenty of other nicknames, Folly, Rickster, 'Trick, and a few others- but shortening his first name generally annoys him.
Above all else, Patrick loves music. Music is his life, his everything. Even when he was young he enjoyed music, having learned drums at the age of ten, bass at twelve, and he began playing guitar around thirteen. His laptop is filled with music files and guitar tabs, more so than his school work.
Brief History
Born on April 8, 1990, Patrick grew up as an only child in Chicago, Illinois. Ever since he was about five years old, he was always "in the way", according to his parents. It seemed like neither of them wanted him anymore, so he hid in his room whenever he got home from school until it was time for him to get back up in the morning. At first he hated it- trapped in his room for nearly the entire day, and even on the weekends it was rare for him to sneak out and get something to drink from the fridge. This isolation made him drawback from his peers in school as well, causing what friends he had at the time to desert him for not wanting to do anything outside of school. It was when his father started to abuse his mother than he became utterly terrified of both of his parents. It became days before he would talk to them, then weeks.
On Independence Day when he was ten years old, while his parents were having a fight, he snuck off down to the parade on main street because he couldn't stand listening to them anymore. By the time he'd gotten back to the house, all there was left was the ashes in place of where it once stood. Out of confusion he spent the longest time hiding behind a fire truck, pondering on if he had taken the wrong way home... No, it was impossible. Names were taken down and he was sent to the county "home", just to be passed from orphanage to orphanage. He was finally placed in a foster home when he was fifteen but was never adopted. No one wanted a child who was afraid to talk to them. No one wanted the shy boy.
From then on, at school he was harassed for being the "Orphan Boy". Many would've expected possible sympathy from his classmates, but it was the exact opposite. The name calling and referral to his parents was brought up in some crude remark just about everyday, and this has left him a bit scarred.
Fortunately, not everything in life was horrible at that time. His foster parents were quite wealthy, his foster mother secretly working two jobs- being a playboy model and a waitress while his foster father brought in most of the money, having chosen the career of a Neuro Surgeon.
