Personality::
Mo can seem like a little girl to many people, like she wouldn't be much use in any situation. However, there is a lot more to Mo than meets the eye, and that is usually a very good weapon. Mo is a very confrontational person, she has no problem with stopping people in the middle of the street and asking them 'what do you think you're doing?' if she feels they're doing something wrong. As a result Mo has a very limited amount of true friends, and an even smaller amount of those friends like going shopping with her. Mo is often seen on her own because of her ability to be so very outspoken, and therefore she is often called a 'loner'. It isn't because Mo can't make friends or that she can't talk to people, but more because she can't keep those people by her side because of how she acts. Mo refuses to dumb herself down though.
Mo is very into active things, and she has taken four years worth of dance lessons at the local community center. Mo likes to go out and do salsa dancing, but she often goes out to nightclubs too, although often refrains from drinking any alcohol. Mo will drink alcohol occasionally, but not a lot. Mo doesn't like being unable to have control of her body, and therefore she doesn't do drugs at all, and rarely drinks. She needs to keep fit as well for her dancing, and therefore she doesn't intend to over indulge or let her body go. She does a lot of jogging and often is one of the more active people at the home. Mo gets up early in the morning, and is often the last to go to bed, she lives her life entirely on caffeine, which probably isn't a good idea. However, Mo often goes to bed even after people who have been partying staggers in. Mo is often the person who stays up to let them in and make sure they get to bed alright. She does do an awful lot of 'mothering' to some of the more reckless kids.
Mo can be very childish herself, she can draw the line between being mature and immature very well and can switch between the two quite easily. Mo was never really given a childhood, so really when she gets the chance to act like a child she will take that chance with both hands. Mo is not the type of person to solve anything with physical violence, she is a very charismatic person and she supposedly has a talent for writing and putting things into words. Therefore, Mo prefers to debate things out, and she often confuses who ever she it debating with to the point where she knows what she's saying but they just entirely give up on attempting to. Mo loves to debate out things and she likes being a nuisance and an inconvenience to people. It is, after all, what she seems to be able to do best.
Mo is very insecure about herself, she constantly frets about the way that she looks and she can never look in the mirror and think anything but 'you're ugly'. Mo knows she should be more positive about herself but she finds it impossible, and therefore she continues to look into the mirror day-after-day and tell herself that she's not good enough. That she's not pretty enough or that she's not thin enough. Mo suffered from an eating disorder a few years ago, she didn't lose any weight dramatically but she actually stopped eating for two weeks, living mainly off water and a bit of bread. It was a rather worrrying time for Mo. She is still insecure about herself, and she's never really had anyone in her life who will tell her that she is beautiful, whether it's on the outside or on the inside. Mo can never seem to feeling perfect in her own skin.
Brief History::
Mo was born to Elisa Evans, a single mother living on her own in Los Angeles. Elisa was, at some point, and actress, and she had Mo quite early in life. Maureen was Elisa's mothers name and so she named her baby girl after her. Elisa, however, indulged in what Los Angeles brought to her. She took drugs and drank heavily, and at the age of twenty had overdosed on heroin in her bathroom. Maureen was only two at the time, and she was given to social services. From there Mo has had what could only be described the most stable unstable childhood possible. She has lived at the children's home for the majority of her life, and has never actually been fostered. Mo doesn't really understand why no one wants to foster her, but she was very upset everytime someone does get fostered and she doesn't.
Mo started working with animal rights when she was fifteen, she joined rallys and protests and soon enough became quite a well known face at places like that. Mo has done internship work with PETA over the summer once, which she enjoyed a lot. Mo loves being able to campaign for something and try to make a difference, and she often goes to protests and what not. Mo has put herself in physical danger many times before for animals, and she has been involved in quite a few rescue missions where she goes into the testing laboritories and releases the animals that are being kept captive there. She has been caught three times, and she has been arrested once for assault. Mo started a fight with a ceo of a company who were testing on animals, and she says she was 'doing quite well' when the police pulled her off.
At age sixteen Mo's biological father turned up on the adoption home's doorstep, asking for custody over his daughter. However, sixteen years down the line Mo wanted nothing to do with her father and she told him to go stuff it. However, her father turned up outside her school, attempting to make her get into the car, saying he was going to take the pair of them off to Canada on a nice little 'vacation'. Mo was only saved when Daniel, the head social worker, who had been at the school talking to the principle about a student's behaviour, saw them in the parking lot and saved Mo from her father. Not long later her father was arrested for theft and is now in prison. Mo feels she's had a very good life, although she knows very little about having anything any different, she's just been around a lot of people who have suffered things like she has.
